Introduction
Masiero Voice service offers individual or group (general) voicemail boxes that can be accessed and managed to satisfy various needs. Each section of this article will showcase the fundamentals of the primary options available.
Voicemail
Types of Voicemail boxes
Voicemail boxes (voicemail extensions) can be separated into two categories: Individual or General
Individual
Individual voicemail boxes are typically assigned to an individual user or user's extension.
Default Password: 1234
General (Group)
General voicemail boxes are typically used for multiple users, departments, or group extensions.
Default Password: 1234
Access
Access Individual Voicemail box
By default, when voicemail is enabled for a Grandstream phone, the Envelope Button can be used as a shortcut to access the voicemail box of a particular extension. Using the Envelope Button is a shortcut for the dial sequence 7 + three-digit or four-digit from the originating extension. Individual voicemail boxes are not limited to only being able to be accessed from the assign extension (see section Accessing Voicemail boxes from any Grandsteam phone for more details).
Example
Assuming you are using a Grandstream phone assigned extension number 101. Pressing the Envelope Button will access the voicemail box of extension 101 or 7101.
Access General Voicemail box
By default, general voicemail boxes can only be accessed by dialing 7 + three-digit or four-digit extension number assigned.
Example
Assuming you wish to access the general voicemail box of 999. Dial 7999.
Access Voicemail boxes from any Grandstream Phone
Using the prefix seven (7), dial 7 + three-digit or four-digit extension number of the voicemail box you wish to access.
Access Voicemail boxes Remotely
Method 1
By default, individual and general voicemail boxes can be accessed remotely. To perform this action, dial the main business or organization's phone number. If you are presented with an auto-attendant/IVR, at any time during the announcement press 7 + three-digit or four-digit extension number of the voicemail box you wish to access. Otherwise, immediately after dialing the main business or organization's phone number while the call is connecting press 7 + three-digit or four-digit extension number of the voicemail box you wish to access.
Method 2
Assuming that call-forwarding is not enabled.
- Use a known method to reach any voicemail box. i.e., Call office remotely, call direct phone number, dial extension from auto-attendant/IVR.
- Press 0 any time before, during, or after the voicemail box's unavailable message plays.
- Enter the password Masiero Voice password.
If you do not know your Masiero Voice password. Please email team@masiero.tech providing your first name, last name, and organization that you are associated with. - Announcement "Welcome, main-menu" will play.
- Dial 7 + three-digit or four-digit extension number of the voicemail box you wish to access.
Call Transfer Direct to Voicemail
By default, each Grandstream phone has the ability to transfer a call directly to any voicemail box. Using the prefix six (6), dial 6 + three-digit or four-digit extension number of the voicemail box you wish to transfer to.

- Press 1 to Listen to your voicemail messages.
- The following options will be announced by the auto-attendant:
a. Press 3 for Advanced options.
b. Press 5 to Repeat the message.
c. Press 6 to Play the next message.
d. Press 7 to Delete the message.
e. Press 8 to Forward the message to another user.
f. Press 9 to Save the message.
Listen to Voicemail Messages: Forward the Message to Another User
- Press 1 to Listen to your voicemail messages.
- Press 8 to Forward the message to another user.
a. Enter three-digit or four-digit extension number of the party.
b. Extension's Recorded Name will be announced by the auto-attendant.
c. Press 1 to Prepend the message.
d. Press 2 to Forward without prepending the message.
e. Press * to Return to main menu.
Listen to Voicemail Messages: Save the Message
By default, there are multiple folders. We focus primarily on two: New & Old
- Press 1 to Listen to your voicemail messages.
- Press 9 to Save the message.
- The following options will be announced by the auto-attendant:
a. Press 1 for New.
b. Press 2 for Old.
c. Etc..

Main Menu: Change Folders
By default, there are multiple folders. We focus primarily on two: New & Old
- Press 2 to change folders.
- The following options will be announced by the auto-attendant:
a. Press 0 for New
b. Press 1 for Old

Main Menu: Advanced Options
- Press 3 for Advance options.
- The following options will be announced by the auto-attendant:
- Press 5 to Leave a message for another extension.
- Press * to Return to the main menu.
Main Menu: Mailbox Options
- Press 0 to select Mailbox Options.
- The following options will be announced by the auto-attendant:
a. Press 1 to Record your Unavailable message.
b. Press 2 to Record your Busy message.
c. Press 3 to Record your Name.
d. Press 4 to Record your Temporary message.
e. Press 5 to Change your Password.
f. Press * to Return to the Main Menu.
Mailbox Options: Record your Unavailable Message
- Press 0 for Mailbox options.
- Press 1 to Record your Unavailable message.
- Record message.
- Press # when finished recording.
a. Press 1 to Accept this message.
b. Press 2 to Listen to this message.
c. Press 3 to Re-Record this message.
Mailbox Options: Recording your Busy Message
This message is played for the originating caller when a party's extension is currently busy.
- Press 0 for Mailbox options.
- Press 2 to Record your Busy message.
- Record message.
- Press # when finished recording.
a. Press 1 to Accept this message.
b. Press 2 to Listen to this message.
c. Press 3 to Re-record this message.
Mailbox Options: Recording your Name
The recorded name is used throughout Masiero Voice service for various reasons (i.e., Dial-by-name Directory).
- Press 0 for Mailbox options.
- Press 3 to Record your name.
- Record name.
- Press # when finished recording.
a. Press 1 to Accept this recording.
b. Press 2 to Listen to it.
c. Press 3 to Re-record this message.
Mailbox Options: Record your Temporary Message
The temporary message is a message that plays before the originating caller hears your standard unavailable or busy message. Temporary message can be used for situations which dictate that you pre-face your standard messages with another (i.e., On Vacation, temporary leave).
- Press 0 for Mailbox options.
- Press 4 to Record your Temporary message.
- Record message.
- Press # when finished recording.
a. Press 1 to Accept this recording.
b. Press 2 to Listen to it.
c. Press 3 to Re-recording this message.
Mailbox Options: Change your Password
By default, voicemail boxes are assigned the password 1234. We strongly recommend changing your password.
- Press 0 for Mailbox options.
- Press 5 to Change your Password.
- Enter new password.
Note, password can contain up to ten digits. - Press # when finished.
- Enter new password again.
- Press # when finished.
