To add contacts to your Grandstream phone, you can either enter them in manually or have an address book downloaded to your phone system. If you have a list of contacts that you want to be added into the address book of the phone, fill out this Excel spreadsheet with the contact's information and submit a request attaching the filled out spreadsheet. Make sure to save the file in CSV format.
To enter contacts manually into the phone the follow the directions below. Keep in mind that if a particular phone needs to be factory reset or replaced, manually entered contacts will be lost and will need to be re-entered.
- Press the Phonebook button on your phone.
- Press the Menu key to select Local Phonebook.
- Press the New softkey.
- Use the number pad to enter the contact's name and phone numbers.
- When completed, press the Save softkey.
Searching for Contacts
The simplest way to find a contact in your address book is to use the dial pad on your phone. When on the idle screen, type in the name using the dial pad numbers. For instance, to find someone named David, dial 3 (for D), 2 (for A), 8 (for V), 4 (for I), 3 (for D).
You can also search for contacts by doing the following:
- Press the Phonebook button on your phone.
- Press the Menu key to select Local Phonebook.
- Use the arrow keys to select the Search Bar, then select QuickMatch.
- Type in the name of the contact using the dialpad. You can change the input method using the softkey shown below.
