The phones deployed by Masiero come configured with the ability to park calls. Call parking is similar to placing someone on hold. However, parking a call allows a person to put an active call on hold and then retrieve the same call from any telephone extension within the organization.
To park a call on your phone, you will do the following:
- Initiate a call or receive a call on your desk phone. You will see the option to Park a call either on the phone's screen or on the sideboard of your phone. Press this button to "park" the active call.
- You will then be redirected to the idle screen. The active call will be placed in the first available "parking space", which is Park 701 in this case.
- Other users within the organization will see that a call is parked in parking space Park 701. Anyone could retrieve the parked call by simply pressing the Park 701 button on their phone or by dialing 701.
- If there is a call already parked on Park 701, and you hit the Park button the call will go to Park 702 (the next available vacant parking space), and so on. If you would like to have someone else pick up a parked call, be sure to let them know where the call is parked (on Park 701, Park 702, etc.).
