Introduction
Masiero Voice service offers the ability to record and manage a prefacing message that inbound callers will hear from your Grandstream phones. We refer to this as the Preface Message.
Example Scenarios
The prefacing message will be announced before originating callers access your standard call routing for your organization. The preface message is intended to be brief and temporary. A preface message may be useful for the following:
- Change in open/closed-business hours.
- Early closures.
- Holiday hours.
- Advertising or marketing.
- Inclement weather.
- Announcing upcoming or ongoing events.
Record and Manage Preface Message
Record Preface Message
The Preface Message can be recorded from any Grandstream phone with the organization connected to Masiero Voice service. A password is required to access this feature. If you do not know your password, please contact us at team@masiero.tech
- Dial 4877.
- Enter password.
- Press 4 to Re-Record Preface Message.
- Press # when finished recording to stop and save.
Manage Preface Message
Once the Preface Message has been recorded it will need to be enabled. The message will be stored in the phone system unchanged unless re-recorded. This allows for the same message to be used whenever necessary without re-recording the message each time it is needed.
Enable Preface Message
- Dial 4877.
- Enter password.
- Press 1 to Enable.
Disable Preface Message
- Dial 4877.
- Enter password.
- Press 2 to Disable.
Listen to Preface Message
- Dial 4877.
- Enter Password.
- Press 3 to Listen to it.
