Wireless Keyboards and mouse have become a staple for any office or PC set up. It allows for more flexibility and space in the work space, and reduces the clutter of cables. Below is an easy guide for your wireless keyboard and mouse.
- Most wireless devices will come with a USB adapter that connects your wireless devices to your Desktop or Laptop PC. Plug the USB adapter into an open USB port on the PC. It typically looks like the below image
- On a new wireless keyboard and/or mouse the adapters are located in the battery compartments. When you have a wireless keyboard and mouse combo, it will come with 1 adapter for both devices and it is usually located in the battery compartment of the mouse.
- The wireless Keyboard and mouse will both require AA Batteries to function. Most keyboards use 2 AA batteries an Mouses use either 1 or 2 AA batteries. If the Mouse or Keyboard starts lagging and /or becoming unresponsive, it is a sure sign that the batteries are dying and they will need to be changed.
- Once the adapter is plugged into the PC and the Batteries are in the keyboard and/or mouse you can switch the on/off button to on and the keyboard and mouse will automatically connect to the PC. The On/Off switch is at different locations depending on the make and model of the keyboard/mouse.
