Service
Your Masiero Voice service uses Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) which relies on your current internet connection and local network to communicate with our servers.
Not all network devices and settings are compatible with VoIP phone system because VoIP requires an uninterrupted internet connection to our hosted servers at all times to reliably transmit calls.
If voice data is lost, delayed, or mishandled by a router, it cannot be resent because it is a live conversation that is being streamed.
You may not notice network problems on your computer or other network devices because these devices are most often preforming tasks that have the ability to request data to be resent if it is lost, delayed, or mishandled.
All routers have default settings that can cause problems with VoIP devices or have settings that need to be changed to ensure the best VoIP experience. Only Masiero managed networks, including Masiero network devices, can be altered for the best preforming VoIP service. Networks that are not hosted and managed by Masiero are not supported. Critically Important Information For All Devices
Router and gateway (modem) manufacturers continually change the firmware and hardware revisions on their devices.
We cannot guarantee that all firmware versions and hardware revisions of the models we have documented in our knowledge base will work correctly within an unmanaged network or Non-Masiero Voice network.
