Working from home is simple and easy to set up when using Masiero provided equipment. Below are a few tips, tricks, and checklist items to ensure a smooth transition to working from your home.
Phone Equipment: The Checklist
Power:
The Masiero provided phones are fully capable of operating outside of your business network. To ensure you can use the phone from home, ensure you have a power brick to power the phone. In most cases, Masiero Phones are powered via the network cable on the business network. All Masiero phones come with the included Power brick (photo below). If you are unable to locate a power brick, contact our sales team for a replacement.
Network: Ethernet Cable
Your Masiero issued phone will operate out the business network as long as the phone has power and Network Access. Since the phone requires a wired network connection to operate, an ethernet cable will need to be connected to the phone and your home router (photo of ethernet cable below). Ensure a long enough Ethernet cable is used to reach the location of the router. If an ethernet cable is needed, reach out to our sales team to order a replacement.
Phone Equipment: The Connection
Follow the below steps to connect your Masiero issued phone to your home network.
1. Connect Power brick to "DC" port on the back of the phone
2. Connect an ethernet cable to the "LAN" port of the phone to a LAN port of your router
3. **Optional** Connect computer network port to the "PC" port of the phone via ethernet cable to utilize hardwired network access on the computer.
4. Ensure connection from handset to the Handset port on the back of the phone.
5. Wait for the phone to complete the boot sequence and run a test call to verify the connection.
