1.) Locate the Ubiquiti UniFi USG Router (3P). Ensure the status LED is illuminated solid blue. (On top of device, square light around the U Logo.) Attempt to power off and back on, by removing and restoring the black power cable.
2.) If service is not restored, check both the front of the Ubiquiti UniFi USG and the black power brick which follows along the black power cable connected to the rear of the device. If the console light and/or power brick's green LED are flashing like shown in the video clip below, the power supply has failed and must be replaced. The router and/or power supply may also be emitting a high pitched noise or "chirp". This is also indicative of a failed power supply that must be replaced.
3.) BestBuy sells a universal power adapter that can be used as a replacement. Click here to view item on BestBuy's Website. Please note, this power supply will typically be visually different than the power supply that failed. However, it is able to be configured to the same specifications and will work as a proper replacement. Once obtained, be sure to set the dial to the 12V settings. Used the appropriate tip size by comparing to the size of the tip on the failed power supply.
4.) Alternatively, Masiero can provide a quote for a newer model, replacement router. These services are billable and not included as part of any existing support plan or program. Please note that this can lead to longer down as the turn around time is 1 to 2 business days on average.
